From one end of the Cape to the other, there is a firework display that can be seen from almost any town in the area, from Hyannis to Orleans, you can’t miss these colorful displays along the coastline.
Falmouth firework display is known to be one of the best displays in the country. Grab a blanket and set up on Falmouth Heights Beach from anywhere around the Nobska Lighthouse. Be sure to come early for a good seat as this is firework display that brings crowds up to 50,000 people!
Hyannis also puts on one of the best firework displays in Cape Cod. From Lewis Bay, see a colorful patriotic firework display that will leave you looking for your camera. For the best viewing spots head out to Aselton Park (located right next to Hyannis Holiday Motel), Bismore Park, or Veteran’s Park Beach. Arrive early, stake a spot and enjoy a picnic dinner before the show.

What Fourth of July celebration is complete without a parade to celebrate? Again, with almost every town on the Cape hosting their own version of an Independence Day parade, you won’t find a shortage of options.
We have to say that the Cotuit parade is one of the more popular events to attend. This classic village offers a picturesque backdrop with tree-lined streets, where spectators can view parade participants as they make their way through town. The parade begins at the Cotuit post office and ends on Main Street at the elementary school.
Take the celebrations off dry land and see the Hyannis Inner Harbor Boat Parade. See boats decked out in red, white, and blue, with American flags flying proudly. Watch as the boats circle around the harbor several times for all spectators to gain a chance to view the patriotic boats. Best viewing spot is on Ocean Street overlooking the Hyannis Harbor. Starting in July the free summer concert series kicks off in Cape Cod. Sit outside at one of the local parks or amphitheaters and enjoy the sound of local bands playing your favorite songs. From a variety of jazz, classical, and rock there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the summer.
To kick off the concert series head out to Parkers River Beach in Yarmouth for the “Just Like That”, aka JLT Dance-Party-Rock band for high energy entertainment and a guaranteed good time.
Located right next to Hyannis Holiday Motel is the Aselton Park where four different concerts will be offered during the month of July. Grab your chairs and blankets and continue the Fourth of July festivities with this family-friendly event and enjoy music from Super Soulshine on July 6th.
