Cape Cod Survives First Blizzard of 2013

All is well now on Cape Cod after the first blizzard of 2013, our village of Hyannis recieved approximately 14 inches of snow with snow drift as high as 4 feet and wind gust over 80 MPH. Numerous trees and telephone poles blew down blocking some major roads, we lost power on Saturday, Feb 9th night for 96 hours yet there are still some household and businesses as of today that are still without power. I have attached some photos of the storm courtesy the Cape Cod Times. We are so looking forward to spring at this point only several weeks ahead. Blue Rock Golf Course located in a wooded setting among residential neighborhoods, measures 3,000 yards in length from the professional tees and features four picturesque and challenging water holes. Dennis Highlands may be the "Crown Jewel" in the traditional list of fine Cape Cod golf courses. Dennis Pines Golf Course is a par seventy-two, seven thousand-yard championship golf course. It is situated on 170 acres of pine forest land in the Village of East Dennis. Designed by Henry C. Mitchell and opened for play in 1966, Dennis Pines has long been noted as one of the toughest layouts on Cape Cod. Tree lined corridors place a great premium on accuracy rather than distance.
